Do not throw away any cards! Save voided cards, to be returned at year-end. NYSPTA will invoice you for the cards not returned. These cards are used as identification for state and national conventions, and voting privileges. The card also gives the member entry into members-only areas of the PTA web sites with lots of information and resources.
What about members who join later?
The treasurer and membership chair should touch base at least once per month to handle dues payments: deposit the unit portion, and send in the state portion, along with the 4-part form. Please keep one copy of the form for your record, and send the rest to the state.
